The Nigeria Film Industry


A home video production is the easy way out of film making, and such a film cannot be classified as a film for international market. The Nigeria film industry need to redefine their works, organized themselves to be under one umbrella so as to have a voice as an organized body. The Nigeria movie industry needs support from government and other bodies to sponsor the creative work of our film makers so as to improve the production of film making in Nigeria. Mirror Boy by Obi Emelonye was partially sponsored by the Gambian president in supporting the production in terms of logistics and accommodation, this is what the film makers here in Nigeria needs, but the case is that we must structure our industry for government and other bodies to buy into our creative ideas. Many films you see today on cinema are films that are shot outside Nigeria,
